Maserati CMC 300s Tank

A trident on four wheels

A prototype for the road

The Maserati 300S was a sports car prototype that was developed in 1955 and incorporated numerous development results from other vehicles. The 300S is regarded as a further development of the Talbot 2500 Sport, which was designed in collaboration with the Talbot company. In addition, the engineers drew on extensive knowledge of vehicle aerodynamics from the Maserati 200S, which was also incorporated into later models of the 300S. From 1955 to 1971, the car successfully took part in numerous races and impressed the drivers with its easy handling.

Perfect Fitment

We fitted this Maserati 300S with an oil and fuel tank as well as new aluminum seats. The oil tank is used for dry sump lubrication of the vehicle. The aluminum sheets of the oil tank were joined together using only solid rivets. The tank seals perfectly thanks to the precise fit of the sheets to each other.

Racing technology

The fuel tank was also made from aluminum sheets and riveted together. It contains a plastic bladder that stores the fuel. This complies with the FIA specifications for racing vehicles. The tank was also made slightly smaller so that the oil tank could be moved to the rear of the vehicle. This created space for a second seat in the interior. At the same time, new aluminum bucket seats were made for both drivers.

Driving fun for two

With the functional oil tank and the new fuel tank cover, the vehicle is ready for more races. Thanks to the passenger seat, two people can now also experience the driving fun.
